Violin

In addition to his conducting career, Frédéric Chaine is a professional jazz violinist. Since 2019, he has been captivating audiences at The Music Village, a well-known jazz club in Brussels. In both 2021 and 2022, he was invited with his quartet by the Opéra du Grand Avignon.

Frédéric Chaine has shared the stage with renowned jazz musicians, including Florin Niculescu, Frédéric Borey, Wajdi Riahi, Vilmos Csikos, Daniel Jonkers, Basile Rahola, Boris Schmidt and Benjamin Clément.

In September 2020, he released his first jazz album, “De Bruxelles à Lausanne, Ballade Improvisée” with the participation of the international jazz star violinist Florin Niculescu.

Influenced by Stéphane Grappelli and Florin Niculescu, Frédéric Chaine masterfully blends his classical background with jazz improvisation. He studied classical violin at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel in the class of Yuzuko Horigome and has been mentored by Miroslav Roussine, a concertist and student of David Oïstrakh.

"Frederic is an integral person with a lot of common sense, a very talented violinist and musician.“
