L’Ensemble Orchestral Européen

Founded in 2022 by Frédéric Chaine, the Ensemble Orchestral Européen is a chamber orchestra dedicated to introducing classical music to a wide audience. Based in Brussels, the ensemble is composed of young professional musicians.

Through arrangements by its music director, Frédéric Chaine, the ensemble performs educational concerts and innovative jazz projects with orchestra.

Several cultural centres across Brussels have presented the productions Mozart fait son show, L’Apprenti sorcier and Les Secrets d’un Opéra : La Flûte enchantée, the last of which received the label of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles. These performances reached more than 3,500 children aged 8 to 12.

The Ensemble Orchestral Européen and the Orchestra of the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel collaborated on the world premiere of Vieuxtemps’s Fantaisie pour violon, voix et orchestre. The first orchestral performance of this work took place on 30 March 2025 at Église Saint-Remacle in Verviers.

In April 2026, the ensemble premiered the concert Take the Swing Train at Bourse Brussels, alongside the soloists Florin Niculescu and Yves Brouqui.

Since its founding, the Ensemble Orchestral Européen has been invited to perform at W:Halll, Centre Culturel d’Uccle, le Senghor, La Maison Qui Chante, Espace Toots and Centre Culturel de Verviers. The ensemble has also participated in the festival “Les Rendez-vous Musicaux” and performed at the Palais d’Egmont in Brussels during the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
